This place was really tasty and I loved the theme! It has a dark interior and the live entertainment had the crowd dancing. The energy in this place was great, we went in the evening on a Friday all dressed up and we were seated outside at a booth which was the perfect spot. The restrooms are located inside upstairs where there is another bar and lounge sitting area. Would absolutely come back to this place next time I'm in town! The service was great, really nice hosts and servers. Our group had a great time. The drinks were mixed really well, the food was tasty and the beignets were so good I got a box to take home. Definitely a place to Come visit if you're in the area!

Came in for brunch... everything was so good I had the crab cake Benedict, wood grilled oysters, the shrimp appetizer... and of course I couldn't leave without the beignets. The food was perfect... everything was full of flavor and cooked well and arrived to the table in a timely manner. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The hostess was inviting. The restaurant is large so your not feeling cramped like most brunch places. We had a great experience and would definitely return.

I walked into Voodoo Bayou thinking I was going to have a regular meal, but what I ended up with was a spiritual experience. I ordered the deviled eggs, and let me tell you, they were so devilishly good, I started questioning my life choices. Who knew eggs could be this sinfully delicious? If these were the eggs in the Garden of Eden, Eve wouldn't have needed an apple. Next, I moved on to the BBQ shrimp, which was so good it must have been marinated in tears of joy. Each bite was like a saucy little hug from the barbecue gods. I was tempted to lick the plate, but I didn't want to scare the very attentive and professional staff. The wood-fired oysters? Let's just say they were so smoky and flavorful that I felt like I was eating them straight from a campfire in the bayou, minus the mosquitoes. If oysters could talk, these would say, "You're welcome." Finally, the honey smoked chicken wings were the showstoppers. These wings were so perfectly sweet and smoky that I'm convinced they were smoked by a beehive of pitmasters. I wanted to pick up the phone and call every chicken I know to let them know their wings have peaked. Overall, Voodoo Bayou isn't just a restaurant--it's a culinary séance where the spirits of great flavor possess every dish. 10/10 would get possessed by these deviled eggs again.

What a find! I had a friend in from out of town and I was trying to find a place I've never been to before....enter Voodoo Bayou! What a cool looking place/vibe! We sat at the high tops by the bar. We started with a couple cocktails and the fried green tomatoes (drool). This were awesome, with thick slabs of pork belly on top, you simply can't go wrong. For my entree I got the etoufe with grits and she got the chicken sandwich. Both were delicious. We were very strategic to make sure we left room for dessert....BEIGNETS! I don't care if there is powder sugar flying all over me, these are so worth it! Do yourself a favor, head to the Bayou!

08/17/2024 9pm. The stars are mostly on the service, but the prices are pretty crazy and that's not easy to say because I am a big spender, but it needs to make sense. Our server Jill was awesome, even with the 20 million questions my buddy asked her, but she answered them all without a sweat. And even one of the managers came by several times to check on us, even to help my buddy who splashed something on his white shirt. Lol. There is an 18% gratuity added fyi and I am glad they told us up front, but the service was definitely worth it. For 3 people our bill was $400 , Which is crazy!!! We ate: * Deviled eggs - Meh * Gator tail - We loved it * Fried Green tomatoes - a must have very good * Small gumbo - Good , just wish there were big pieces of Shrimp and sausage. ( note the small gumbo has shrimp and sausage but it's all smashed up in the gumbo) * Mac and cheese - Just ok * Jambalaya- Very good * Ribeye - Very good * Carbonara Pasta - Very good * Beignet - We loved them * Banana Pudding- not too shabby Drinks: * Voodoo smoked Old fashioned- Ok not worth $17 no joke. * Lavender Love spell - pretty good And a few other drinks.

Myself and a group of friends visited recently and we had Micah as our server. She was not only the sweetest and bubbliest lady but very attentive to our needs and dietary restrictions as well. Our food and drinks were great. The entire evening was lovely, I most definetly will be returning and asking for Micah again.

Voodoo Bayou was a good experience, one of the few places deserving of a five-star review from me! While I can't speak to the dinner vibe, my afternoon visit was perfect--nice and not too crowded. Although I rarely drink soda, I couldn't resist a bottled Coke, while my girlfriend enjoyed a sweet tea. The shrimp carbonara I ordered was flavorful, though a bit oily due to the rendered pork belly fat--something to keep in mind. Luckily, the dish is customizable, so if you're not a fan of peas or pork belly, you can easily skip them. My girlfriend's shrimp and grits were equally impressive, creamy, flavorful, and with a generous portion of shrimp. Also, I tried a beignet for the first time. I'm not usually into sweets, so I brushed off some of the powdered sugar, but it was incredible--like a soft, airy funnel cake. I can't wait to return for my next cheat meal!

This was my first time here, Ive been familiar with the area my whole life and never stopped into this spot! Jillian was amazing and answered the 100 questions I asked her!! She was absolutely amazing. I don't know what formula you guys are using but keep it up! can't wait until next week! WILL BE COMING BACK!!! ASK FOR JILLIAN IF YOU WANT THE BEST SERVICE!

Voodoo Bayou is founded upon a passion for Southern Cajun cuisine. They have a good menu with all kinds of Po'boys, but where are the etouffees? And no Bananas Foster desserts? I started off with their Deviled Eggs and not only did they look eye-appealing great, they tasted just as good. I highly recommend them. I then had their Fried Oysters with chili butter and garlic bread. They were rather good, but nothing special. I also had their Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with Creole Mustard Sauce, Succotash, and Frisee. Not bad but I didn't see anything jumbo about it. For dessert, I had their Bourbon Praline, Vanilla, and Dark Chocolate ice cream Sunday. Voodoo Bayou is large and spacious with a good ambiance. The staff is friendly and helpful. It also has one of the most outstandingly beautiful bars in Lauderdale with a huge stained glass type backdrop. They have a great happy hour from 4 to 7 with a good menu that also includes raw oysters and smoked old fashions.

Caroline was a phenomenal server, I had such a good time with her as my server! The food was delicious too! Amazing service we will definitely be coming back to ask for Caroline
